Our friendly, highly experienced team will help you develop your own yoga practice, take you surfing in perfect waves – and create the perfect holiday.

No matter what your level of experience our packages are suitable for surfers interested in yoga, yogi's who want to learn to surf or those who are beginners or experienced in both.

We have an fantastic in-house yoga instructor. Miri leads sessions every morning and evening in the garden of our Lodge. She does a unique blend of Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow and Yin yoga inspired classes. With focus on realignment, building strength and flexibility while stilling the mind and releasing stress through meditation and relaxation techniques.

Practice Yoga in a breathtaking location. Surf in Portugal's perfect warm water waves. Sleep and relax in our laid lodge, and eat incredibly well to restore, revive and feel amazing.

Why Yoga and Surfing go hand in hand

The disciplines of  yoga and surfing go hand in hand, as both  benefit from the physical and mental enhancements as a result of one another. The physical benefits of practicing yoga as a surfer include improved balance and flexibility, as well as the addition of core and physical strength.

The mental benefits of yoga for surfers include an increased sense of focus and awareness to the human form and body. Concentration on your body and how it is reacting often brings calmness to the mind, and to the breath. As a surfer, awareness of your breath and how you breathe bring the natural rhythm and flow of the body into consciousness. This more rhythmic body focuses your surfing on the core skills of balance and internal rhythm.

Benefits for Surfing

Practicing yoga increases awareness of your body, as yoga often requires you to make small, subtle movements to improve alignment which increases comfort in your own body, improves posture and self-confidence. Translated to surfing, this leads to better balance on your surfboard, a more rhythmic approach to paddling and moving on the board, as well as an increased awareness of your connection to the water, the waves, and your board.
