Torq TEC Surfboards - Advanced Surfers
The TEC technology creates boards with an incredible strength to weight ratio and torsional flex properties. The Torq Epoxy Composite uses a 3 x 6oz lay-up and carbon fibre tail reinforcement on the deck for maximum strength. The bottom features a carbon strip to control flex and give a responsive spring from turns.
6’0 x 20” x 2 1/2” (32.2 ltr) 6’3 x 20 1/2” x 2 5/8” (35.6 ltr)
“…FOR CRITICAL MID-SIZE TO OVERHEAD CONDITIONS”
This is your go-to performance shortboard for critical mid-size to overhead conditions. The template is fairly wide through the nose and tail, giving it plenty of planing area. Coupled with a speed rocker; fairly low entry and flat middle section, this board carries loads of speed to skate through flat sections or power through critical sections. The single to double concave and slight tail flip allows you to control the speed for full rail carves or vertical snaps.
This is the go to surfboard for good quality surf and solid power surfing.
5’8 x 20” x 2 3/8” (30.6 ltr) 6’0 x 20 1/2” x 2 5/8” (35.7 ltr)
“THIS IS A TRUE ONE BOARD QUIVER.”
Up front you have a ‘fish’ like nose – wide through the 12” mark with an easy entry rocker and single concave. From the mid point back, the template narrows in a long curve into a rounded pin tail with a little more rocker under the back foot and a double concave to vee behind the fins.
This combination makes a board that paddles well and catches waves like a fish but also performs in more critical waves. Under your front foot the board is fast and accelerates quickly, with speed to burn. As you transfer your weight to your back foot the combination of the round pin and double concave makes the board sharp and responsive, easily capable of holding a high line in the barrel or deep gouging carves.
With 5 Futures fin boxes, the Hybrid can be ridden as Quad or Thruster.
5’8 x 19 3/4” x 2 3/8” (29.8 ltr) 6’0 x 20 3/4” x 2 1/2” (34.3 ltr)
“PERFORMANCE ON ANY TYPE OF WAVE”
The Performance Fish borrows the narrower nose from a Thruster to allow more vertical snaps and reduce hang-ups on re-entries. From the mid-point back the template is a more conventional fish shape – wide and fairly straight to the hips, with a slight curve into the swallow tail. This places a lot of surface area under your back foot and provides exceptional drive through turns. The double concave between the fins leading into the swallow tail makes this board transition quickly from rail to rail and increases responsiveness.
The Performance Fish has 5 Futures fin boxes and works equally well as a Quad or Thruster.
