November: The Secret Summer Surf Month

1. Sunshine
With temperatures barely dropping below 20ºc even in January. The Algarve has one of the mildest climates in Europe, we say it’s #neverwinter.
In November, temperatures keep a steady 22ºC, and it’s even warmer in the sun! In the evenings temperatures do drop, but that’s what our fire pit in the garden is for! Post surf beers in front of the open fire anyone? Doesn’t have the same effect in summer.
1. Beaches
Famous for our 2 stunning coastlines, South and West there are plenty of beaches to explore. Outside of the summer months you’ll find tranquil blue waters and deserted beaches to have all to yourself. No need to fly for 12 hours in search of paradise in Thailand or another faraway destinations, we’ve found your beach and it’s only 3 hours away from London.
1. Surf
We couldn’t do a list without the mention of Surf. Winter swells might be smashing up most the coastlines in Europe and the UK, delivering massive waves that only the advance can enjoy.
We however reap the benefits! The swell wraps around the most westerly point of Europe to deliver us clean and fun sized waves on our South Coast. With a variety of west and south facing beaches, we have optimum conditions for learning to surf and dreamy green waves ideal for intermediates.
3. 5 Empty Line Ups
Continuing our surf talk for just another moment. Avoiding summer, means avoiding the crowds. The Line Ups are near empty. Join the friendly locals on their favourite spots at their favourite time of the year. No aggro here, just a great group of surfers out enjoying the best waves of the year.
4. Really Portuguese Portugal
Get a flavour the authentic Portuguese culture. Without crowds of summer, the Portuguese unwind slows down and takes time to enjoy their beautiful country. Explore the towns and villages of the Algarve, eat in local restaurants indulging freshly caught fish, enjoy great coffee and pastal de natas in the sunshine.
In November the landscapes are so vibrant and green too!
5. Cheap Flights
