The gottos & Ponta da Piedade
Ponta da Piedade is one of the most interesting spots in the region. It is composed of several rock formations up to about 20 m high and has a valuable historical, natural, landscape and geological heritage.
Since ancient times, Ponta da Piedade has had a cultural and religious function, having been considered as a sacred place due to its connection to the ocean.
