Welcome to intermediate surf coaching in the pristine waters of the Algarve

A bespoke surf course for the new intermediate surfer looking to progress their surfing.

Who's the week for?

I've been on a couple of surf holidays

I'm standing almost every time in the white water

I've caught some unbroken waves without being pushed

I want to improve and build my water confidence

I want to move on to hard boards!

Your Surf Level:

  • You can pop up and get to your feet confidently
  • You're ready to get out of the white water
  • Can Paddle out back, turtle/eskimo roll
  • You've caught your first unbroken green wave
  • Can paddle into your own waves (not being pushed)
  • Starting to surf down the line along the wave in either direction & not straight towards beach.

This is not an advanced course & we will be focusing on finding fun sized green waves, perfect for intermediate surfers.

The Waves

May & October/November are the ideal months for intermediate surfers. The winds have dropped, south swell is pushing into our south coast beaches and the waves are virtually empty in the right spots.

This week is all about chasing down the perfect waves for your group! If the waves are pumping at 7am, we’ll be up for a dawnie. If the waves a peeling endlessly until sunset, we’ll adjust our schedule to take advantage. If conditions change during the day, we’ll move onto a better break. You'll have maximum water time in optimum conditions.
